Position Overview / Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled Technical Engineer proficient in managing and troubleshooting enterprise-level software solutions such as Atlassian (Jira Software, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Jira Work Management, etc.) & GitHub. The applications JFrog (Artifactory, Xray), LaunchDarkly, and Octopus Deploy are an added benefit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities to ensure the smooth operation and optimal performance of these critical applications. As a Technical Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues, implement enhancements, and provide ongoing support to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for Atlassian solutions (Jira Software, Confluence, Jira Service Management, Jira Work Management, etc.), GitHub, JFrog (Artifactory, Xray), LaunchDarkly, and Octopus Deploy application.
  2. Respond promptly to technical inquiries and incidents escalated from various channels including ticketing systems, emails, and chats.
  3. Diagnose and resolve software-related issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  4. Collaborate with development teams to identify and implement fixes, patches, and enhancements to improve application functionality and performance.
  5. Participate in the deployment and configuration of software updates, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
  6. Create and maintain documentation including knowledge base articles, troubleshooting guides, and best practices for application usage and support.
  7. Conduct periodic health checks and performance tuning to optimize application performance and reliability.
  8. Assist in the development and execution of test plans for new features, upgrades, and integrations.
  9. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to application support and DevOps methodologies.
  10. Act as a liaison between end-users, vendors, and internal stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and resolution of technical issues.


Requirements / Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. Certifications such as Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) is a must. GitHub Certified Professional, or equivalent credentials are desirable.
  3. Proven experience of more than 2.5 years as a Technical Engineer or similar role, with expertise in Atlassian stack of Products such as Jira Software, Confluence, Jira Service Management is must. GitHub, JFrog, LaunchDarkly, and Octopus Deploy experience are desirable.
  4. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation and troubleshooting tasks.
  5. Must know basics of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
  6. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and version control systems (Git, SVN).
  7. Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  9. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  10. Prior experience with Agile methodologies and IT service management (e.g., ITIL) is a plus.
  11. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and business requirements.
